Al-Furqaan
Educational Institute

Al Furqaan Institute is more than a school — it’s a home of learning, faith, and care. We serve over 200 students, including orphans, children from single-parent homes, reverts, and those in need. Through education, community, and daily nourishment, we strive to nurture both hearts and minds in the light of Islam.“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Our Mission

To educate, uplift, and empower — providing every child with access to Islamic learning, compassion, and opportunity, regardless of background or circumstance.

Who We Are

Al Furqaan Institute is a community-based Islamic center and orphanage dedicated to nurturing faith and education. Around 30% of our students are orphans or from disadvantaged families. We also support single mothers and new reverts, providing a safe environment for learning, growth, and connection to the Deen.

Our Work

  • Education & Guidance: We offer structured Islamic and academic education, helping students build a strong foundation in both worldly and spiritual knowledge.

  • Preschool Program: A nurturing early learning space for young children who cannot afford schooling.

  • Feeding Scheme: We provide three meals daily to reverts and struggling families who cannot afford food.

  • Ramadan Outreach: Every Ramadan, we feed and support over 300 individuals for iftar and suhoor.

A Glimpse into
Al-Furqaan

Every day at Al Furqaan reflects faith, learning, and unity. Our classrooms echo with Qur’an recitation, our meals are shared in gratitude, and our students grow together in kindness and understanding.

  • Learning in Faith: Children learning Qur’an, Arabic, and essential academic subjects.

  • Orphan Care: A safe and loving space for orphans and less privileged children.

  • Feeding the Ummah: Daily meals served to reverts and families in need.

  • Community in Ramadan: Over 300 people supported each day for iftar and suhoor.

  • Together in Growth: A community inspired by the words of Allah and the example of the Prophet ﷺ.

Our Vision

To create a lasting center of Islamic education, care, and community — where every child learns, prays, and grows with dignity and purpose.

“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

A Home of Learning, Faith, and Care.

Al Furqaan Institute is a community-based Islamic center and orphanage serving over 200 students, including orphans, children from single-parent homes, underprivileged families, and individuals who have reverted or wish to revert to Islam. Our programs provide access to education, spiritual guidance, and daily support for those who need it most.During Ramadan, we provide meals to over 300 people daily and run a feeding program that serves three meals a day to reverts and struggling families. At present, we are seeking financial assistance to sustain our educational and community programs, secure our property valued at R2,000,000 as a permanent home for the institute and orphanage, provide carpets for classrooms and prayer areas, helping students from distant areas attend safely, and continue supporting our feeding programs and community outreach.Your support will make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families, helping us continue this noble mission for the sake of Allah (SWT). Together, we can nurture young minds, strengthen faith, and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
